Views
Views is a collection of artwork exploring the concept of windows being portals, presenting glimpses into various realities. As observers, we often find ourselves incapable of altering circumstances or participating in them. Inspired by my love of film, and how it can make us feel as if we are part of another world, another place in time. Whether it be close to our reality or far from it. The window acts as a boundary, confining us to the role of mere spectators, whether our reaction is one of dread or fascination.
Process
I built this collection around Midjourney and StableDiffusion, used in tandem over six months. In the beginning, I had to figure out a way to produce an image that was framed with a window in mind; this included iterations of different methods when it came to prompting. As the tech developed throughout the creation of this collection, new ideas were tested around prompting, especially in StableDiffusion, and running those images into Midjourney before finally polishing by hand in Photoshop.
Approximately 25,000 windows were created for this process. I wanted to include a variety of different models as a way of highlighting the changes as I fleshed out this collection.
To me windows are a way of capturing a moment, a way of watching a scene transgress and this collection is very much built around that idea.
Artist Bio
DeltaSauce is an artist based out of Dallas Texas whose focus is digital art utilizing AI. He discovered his love for working with AI as a creative medium in 2021. Driven by his love of film, he enjoys crafting landscapes and locations that create a sense of cinematic framing and viewer relatability. Creating scenes of nostalgia while touching on the subject matters of the past, his work strikes at the heart of personal memories. His art has been exhibited internationally, including but not limited to; Carmel, NYC, Rome, London and Paris.
